Aower lobbyist Bob Malito is back after a two-year hiatus.

Malito, a long-time Albany insider and close friend of former Sen. Al D’Amato, is now a partner at Gerstman Schwartz.

That firm, which has offices in Long Island and Lower Manhattan, will now be know as Gerstman Schwartz & Malito.

“Bob Malito has been a fixture in Albany for 33 years and is well respected by friend and foe alike as a savvy strategist with a keen understanding of public policy,” said Brad Gerstman, one of the firm’s founders.”We are proud that Bob has decided to join with us in our expansion effort.”

Malito, who served in both the Dinkins and Lindsay administrations, left the eponymous Davidoff Malito & Hutcher LLP in 2012 after nearly 40 years. He founded that firm with lawyer Sid Davidoff.

After Malito left, they dropped his name from the firm, and changed it to Davidoff Hutcher & Citron.
