Learn the Philosophy & Mechanics of Lobbying

Home » Learn the Philosophy & Mechanics of Lobbying
This two-hour event, moderated by attorney and lobbyist Brad Gerstman, includes panelists and prominent lobbyists David Schwartz, Robert Malito,  Assemblyman Charles Lavine and Senator Carl Marcellino.  You are invited to join in and delve deep into the often mysterious world of lobbying. The distinguished panel will examine the importance of lobbying as an essential feature of a democratic society and will help explain the lobbying process from all levels. This is a course designed to introduce lawyers to the essential features of the art and practice of lobbying. The goal of the course is to provide a basic understanding of how to articulate the needs of clients so that these needs can be effectively, and successfully, translated into the political process. This course is purposefully constructed so that the legal community can learn to translate these skills into a different form of advocacy; through a process that is dramatically different than the exercise of legal acumen in the justice system.
