Divorce and Family Law

Hon. Tammy S. Robbins

Hon. Tammy S. Robbins, Partner

Once you are ready to make the difficult decision to end your marriage, the first important step is to retain the right attorney to help you navigate the journey.  The right attorney is someone who can be entrusted to best represent your needs and interests, advise you and guide you, and assist and collaborate with you in making informed decisions throughout the process. Many of the issues you may encounter  are of a delicate and sensitive nature, including child custody and support, division of assets and spousal maintenance.  The attorney you hire should possess an unparalleled level of experience, compassion and dedication.

I am the person who will help you achieve your divorce goals through effective representation, individualized attention and a highly-skilled approach.

During my ten years as a Nassau County Judge, I presided in Family Court and the Domestic Violence Court. I also handled some of the most serious criminal cases in the county. I was a highly respected jurist known for my ability to preside over cases with intelligence and fairness. Prior to taking the bench, as a veteran prosecutor, I earned a reputation as an attorney with a unique ability to resolve cases judiciously.

My unique knowledge and insight from the inside of a Judge’s chambers and behind the bench affords me the opportunity to offer my clients a smoother and more expeditious process, better effective strategizing and a greater emphasis on results. With my vast experience in negotiating settlements from the bench, I will attempt to achieve a settlement that meets the needs of my clients. If a just settlement cannot be reached, I will draw from my extensive litigation skills, affording you the best aggressive advocacy in the courtroom.

Based on my comprehensive legal knowledge and experience, I am able to assist my clients on the various family and divorce law issues that arise, some of which include:

  • Child custody, support and visitation
  • Spousal maintenance
  • Property division and distribution
  • Modification and enforcement of orders
  • Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
  • High net worth matrimonial cases
  • Grandparent visitation rights
  • Post-divorce action
  •  Paternity issues

If you are ready to make that call, know that I am here to take it. Reach out to me now at (516) 880-8170. I look forward to helping you forge a better future.
