Glen Cove, New York; June 29, 2009- Brad Gerstman, pre-eminent government relations executive, has been named to the Board of Directors of The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County. In this new role, Gerstman will lend his political, business and legal expertise to the Center, providing oversight and guidance for event planning and fundraising. Gerstman also brings with him more than 20 years of charitable work, including terms on the Board of Directors for numerous charities.
The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County is the leading authority on tolerance of Long Island. The Center routinely organizes workshops and events that dramatically demonstrate the destructive nature of prejudice, apathy, bullying, and hatred. The Center also boasts many annual events, including the Children’s Memorial Walk, honoring Holocaust children; the Tolerance Benefit Auction; and the November Tribute Dinner, honoring important community leaders. Additionally, The Louis Posner Memorial Library in the center offers the largest collection of Holocaust and tolerance related materials on Long Island.
