Elan A. Ginzberg, Associate at Gerstman Schwartz LLP & Gotham Government Relations joined the firm in January 2019.
Mr. Ginzberg graduated from Pace University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. He was also inducted as a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. After graduating from Pace, Mr. Ginzberg received his Juris Doctor degree in 2019 from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. During law school, Mr. Ginzberg served as the Academic Chair of Hofstra’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) for the 2017-2018 academic school year. Mr. Ginzberg also held a number of positions at private law firms with varying areas of expertise: one focused on plaintiffs-side employment, and three others focused on both criminal defense and civil litigation.
In addition, Mr. Ginzberg worked as a student attorney at Hofstra University’s Criminal Defense Clinic where, under a student practice order, he represented indigent clients in all stages of their criminal defense, drafted motions, conducted investigations, and appeared on the record at bench conferences, evidentiary hearings, and oral arguments on motions.
